Strawberry Milkshake


What better dessert on a hot summer day than a chilling Strawberry Milkshake? This milkshake tastes heavenly and is ready in no time.The ice cream gives you a creamy texture which adds to the taste. I have made this recipe using a blender, but you can also use a mixer jar. The fresh strawberries give it a cute pink tint which makes you want to drink it  more. Moreover, these little berries are rich in anti-oxidants, which give a boost to our health and become all the more tastier when consumed in a milkshake. 

You can serve this with a scoop of ice cream on the top. There are many versions of this milkshake, and I have shared with you the recipe which I found was the most easiest and tastiest. But I must warn you, this is one milkshake you just cannot share.Happy summer!

Ingredients:

Strawberries- 12 to 15 pcs
Milk- 2 cups (preferably chilled) 
Vanilla icecream-1 cup

Method:

1.       Wash and clean the strawberries. Remove the green leafy part and chop it into halves.
2.       Take two cups chilled milk in blender.
3.       Add a cup of vanilla ice cream and strawberries to the milk.
4.       Blend until smooth.
5.       Yummy strawberry shake is ready to be gulped.

Notes:

·         Since I added vanilla ice cream, I didn’t add sugar. The strawberries were also sweet enough. If you find it not sweet enough, you can add sugar according to your taste.
·         you can also add strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla. Adding ice cream makes it creamier.
·         You can skip ice cream altogether and add 2 table spoons of sugar, for sweetness. For a healthier version, go for honey.

Step by step pictures
 

wash and clean the strawberries.
