This
is the third day in my first lunch box series. I think this is the combo which
kids will like the most. Chocolate wheat cake for short break and podi idli for long break. As we will be making the cake the previous day itself, only podi idli is the thing that we need to make in the morning. So easy peasy!

Short Break- Chocolate Wheat Cake
This
cake is super soft and spongy. The best part is that it is made of wheat. So
not so unhealthy after all. Make the cake the previous evening itself so that you can pack it in the morning. You can top it your kid’s favourite topping. My
twins love chocochip so I just sprinkled some on top. Make this for school, and
you will find the snack box licked clean when your kid comes back from school.
Long Break- Podi Idly

idli is nothing but Idli 2.0 J This is the upgraded version of idli, with
masalas, veggies and a squeeze of lemon. Probably the next healthiest idli,
after Idli Sambhar. Mark my words, your kids are sure to love it, especially
when you make it with mini idlies. How cute they look! In the morning race, if
you are not able to find your mini idli plates, don’t worry. You can make the
same dish with normal idlies, just that you need to cube them. So here’s
another kids friendly lunch box dish.
